I just wanted to update you all on my goings-on this summer. I got an internship at MOBOT (Missouri Botanical Gardens) for the summer for photography. I'm super excited, & you all will probably see some sweet photos from there soon.

I also got my new lens in today! It's a new 55-200mm VR Nikon lens. And it's beautiful. And I love it. Can you marry lenses?

I'm also getting a lensbaby, a fisheye, a macro, & a wide angle lens soon. As well as a sweet new gear backpack for my weddings, some filters, and a few other this-and-thats. I'm celebrating my tax return check & getting the internship by treating myself to some new gear.

I'm also taking a trip to Baltimore (and hopefully Washington DC!) for my birthday (and to visit my love <3) over the summer. I plan to take some pretty good photos there as well.

I also have two weddings upcoming! One at the end of this month and one at the beginning of June. The last wedding went swimmingly (besides a few picture transfer issues that eventually ironed themselves out) and I adore the couple & had a wonderful time.

I'm failing at this keeping up with the journal thing, but some pretty exciting photography-related things are happening to me lately! I finally feel as if things are moving FORWARD instead of staying stagnant.
